A Happy Celebration

I started this still life a few days ago hoping to add some collage papers to it:

It looked too symmetrical so I decided to add some orange marker:

I like it better now.  It reminds me of the day after a party like on New Year’s.

Do you have plans to bring in the New Year?  I’d love to hear from you!

Happy Celebrating!  🙂

  1. Happy Celebrating to you, too. I am going to have a quiet weekend at home, reading Dickens and Dumas. I adore the sketch. It will work nicely on the wall of the main dining floor of a bistro. Warm wishes. xo

  2. Awesome sketch! You have such an eye! Looks great as is…. but…. look forward to seeing how you “Jilly” it up! NYE – well – it’s my birthday 🙂 and we always celebrate with the McHendy family at our house. One of my favorite days of the year! 🙂

  5. This is fantastic as are all your bottle drawings! I love the added orange as your only pop of color. We don’t do much. We either go to a casino near by and wander around and people watch or stay home.

  6. Keep workin’ it, lady, looking good! I agree, this would look good in a bistro! Not sure what we’ll get up to NYE, but I’m pretty sure there’ll be sketching involved 😉👍🏼🌃🎨 Happy New Year, Jill!

  7. The added orange to your contour lines is a great idea. It added an extra element of dimension. Thanks for sharing Jill!
