I added more color and pattern to this collage I posted on December 21st:
It is kind of fun to see the two side by side:
The first time I took the image on the left, my lighting was bad. Good lighting really does make a difference!
I recently completed another collage:
I had fun adding patterns with color pencils to the background on this one.
I found this quote on the internet:
They are not long, the days of wine and roses. Out of a misty dream, our path emerges for awhile, then closes, within a dream. – Ernest Dowson
Cheers! 🙂
Such a difference the lighting makes! Gorgeous Jill! Love it!

Thanks Jodi! My hubby set up lights so I can get better photos in the wintertime. It makes a huge difference! 😍👍

Do you mean the recent flower or recent wine one? The flower one I painted the flowers with watercolors and then added other mediums to it. I took a watercolor class one time and the teacher said that people like the feel of backgrounds at an angle. I wonder if you noticed that I have the doodles at an angle behind the vase? Thanks Laura! 😍

Now I’ve looked again, I can’t pick a favorite! I really like the swirls in the background of the flower one, but they’re all good!

Wowza, as you say! I love the bottles – the colors and shapes. Very nice to see this today ~ happy colors and I agree, the lighting affects how our artwork is photographed. I prefer natural daylight for photographing my work as much as possible on my blog, too.

Lol! Thanks Cynthia! 😍 I’m having so much fun, can you tell? I’m hoping I can build up a body of work this year and possibly have a show. 😃 I prefer natural lighting too but we don’t have good light in the winter here so my sweet hubby set up some lights for me so I can take better photos. It makes such a difference! 👍🎨🌟

Thanks Carmel! I don’t know much about framing my own artwork – especially when the completed work is not a typical size. Do I get them professionally framed? 😍

I greatly admire the details you put in your work because I’m too impatient for details myself! Lighting does make a difference.😁

No – I have been debating about one but decided to wait a little while longer to create a larger body of work first. Selling is not really my thing but I’m trying to keep my options open too. I may start with a local show and see how it goes. 🙂
