Reflection

One day in Oaxaca, we loaded a bus and went to visit the Centro de Las Artes de San Agustin (CASA), which was once a bustling factory and is now an art center and museum.

I was taken with the beauty of this place which allowed me time to reflect on my life.

Sometimes I get so busy in life that I forget to stop and enjoy the quiet moments…

This place helped me slow down and SEE the beauty around me.

I found this quote on the internet:  “Sometimes you have to take a step back to see that you’re moving forward in the right direction.”

I discovered that I need more time to reflect so I won’t be blogging every day.  As much as I enjoy blogging, I need time to think.  Time to reflect and figure out where I am going…

I hope you enjoyed these photos today as much as I did.  🙂

Peace!

  1. I feel exactly the same. It’s hard to stay fresh blogging every day.

  2. May you find serenity. Frequency is not an imperative of blogging…

  4. Beautiful and I can feel your inner contemplation in these photos, Jill. Amen to what you are saying. My blogging break started with a trip away and I just felt no need at all to come back, lol! Good for you for taking a step forward for yourself. Couldn’t understand or agree more. Take care and we’ll be here when you do pop in!

  5. I never realized just how beautifully calming water reflections are! Thanks for sharing these amazing photos, Jill! ❤ I agree: taking more time to have inner thoughts is more important than blogging. It's why I've scaled my 365 project back to "365 minus weekends." 🙂

  7. NIce photos reflecting well what you have written. I think you did a great achievement by making art AND blogging every day for a year. So it seems a good thing to relax about what is important for you!

  10. You´re doing the right thing, Jill! Actually it´s about quality, not quantity anyway. I often think: Life is short, so you better live it slowly. 😊 I really like this post of yours, the pictures are gorgeous. I especially like the first one with the reflection of the trees in the water. I bet it would look great in black an white too! Wishing you a wonderful week! 🌞

  11. I think you silly birds would love hanging out in that place. I kept expecting to see one poking it’s head around a corner and winking at me. Lol. Hey there’s an idea for a photo/drawing composite! 😂
