I don’t know about you…but I LOVE GARLIC!!! And since today is National Garlic Day, I just had to celebrate!
In preparation for the day, I decided to sketch a garlic bulb in three different art mediums in my sketchbook yesterday:
I would also like to paint them in watercolor and will post later today when I do! 🙂
There is nothing like the smell of garlic roasting in the oven! Here is one recipe I found at this link: http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/roasted_garlic/
How do you like to use fresh garlic? I’d love to hear from you!
Happy Drawing! 🙂
Great drawings, great subject…love garlic.

I have never had it in tea – how do you make it? And thanks for the smiles about drinking the garlic tea alone… Hehe! 😄 I appreciate your comments Debi! 😊

chuckling now!! well, garlic tea… is when you are DDdesperate – to not get sick with a virus. otherwise you won’t drink it. crush the garlic, let sit for 10 minutes. boil & add water. add WHATever it takes….. so that you can drink it.
And the great thing is, Garlic does actually kill and stop virus from replicating. so it is worth it.

Yes!! I was thinking last week that there are so many subjects is love to finally feel I’m making progress with. And wouldn’t it be cool to just do them in different mediums. I love it that you work in so many. I can’t imagine staying with just one, ever! Go, Jill, Go!

Happy Garlic Day! I have far too many recipes to share at this time. But a quick easy appie is to roast some garlic and spread it on crackers with cream cheese and jalapeno mint jelly. Hmmm. Well done Jill! 🙂

Yummy art and yummy garlic! I was just telling Susan that we grow our own (about 100 heads each year) and use them liberally in everything savory. I eat them raw when I feel some illness coming on. Garlic has antiseptic and antibacterial properties. 🙂

Thank you Teresa! 😃 Is it hard to grow? My hubby and I eat a lot of it! 💕

Not too hard. You plant them in late fall and they start growing in the spring and then you harvest them in July/August when the tops start to die off. 🙂
