I thought you might enjoy this free tutorial from Carla Sonheim:
This video was my inspiration for creating my “guests” for Charlie’s dinner party in my recent post.
I think this is a fun project for ALL ages so I encourage you to get it a try!
Have FUN!!! And I hope you post your “characters” on your blog as I’d love to see them!
Cheers! 🙂
Thank you Jill, I watched the video. Great technique, good idea for my turquoise journal.

These would be a fun addition to my figure drawing study! I will definitely have to doodle a few of these. So glad you shared the video.

I think you will like it, Laura! Carla is a great teacher. 😄 I’d like to figure out how to make my own art videos on YouTube to share here on my blog. 💕💖

I hope you do, Jill! I would love to watch you paint! I am so grateful to all of the generous artists I’ve learned so much from, and I think it’s great to pass info on whenever we can. The Frugal Crafter’s youtubes are the reason I am even doing art! I became convinced years ago that I didn’t have “the gift” for it. Oh, what we tell ourselves sometimes. And comparing my work to my brother’s really didn’t help either. But yes, I think that’s a great idea and people say it’s easy! But I have no clue about the techie side.

I enjoyed watching that video, it seemed so easy for her to draw, but I don’t think I would ever be able to do that because I can’t even draw.
Have a nice weekend.

You know I didn’t think I could draw either until I started taking classes from Carla. You might surprise yourself! 😄 I don’t believe we are born with the talent to draw, I think we can all learn with practice, a lot like writing my friend! 💕😍

Maybe some day? 😍💕 Sometimes I write down ideas in a journal that I want to try some day when I have more time. 🌈
