A Blogging Break

Hi Friends,

As the cooler temps of autumn arrive here in the Pacific Northwest, I have decided to take a short blogging break

I hope to get caught up on some housecleaning since I have been gone to the lake all summer…

And I need to get into an exercise routine again.

I have gotten behind on reading your blogs…

And I want to enjoy creating art without any deadlines for a little while.

I hope you enjoy these photos from my yard.  Nature’s display of color always brightens my day!  I hope it will for you as well.

Cheers! 🙂

  9. I am still trying to get back into the swing of things, artistically speaking, after my trip to Europe. Painting, and blogging and everything that goes with those two activities, takes up a LOT of time. Those people who do not blog or do not create do not realize how much work is involved.

Enjoy your break and come back replenished, full of new inspirations! Cheers from your friend in 🇨🇦

  10. I totally understand! I am feeling the need to Spring Clean my house, and I really need to get back to hiking more miles. I wish we were nearer to each other so we could hike together and commiserate on which cleaning product does the best job at this or that around the house, and which brand of paint and paper is better for this or that type of art, and which paint brush is your favorite this month.
Over the last nearly 6 years I’ve gained nearly 12 pounds taking care of #1 Grandson. I’m the GrandMother mind you! Before he was born I was hiking 50 + miles a week. Now I’m lucky to hike 4 miles a week. 4 miles a week!

I wouldn’t trade a minute of times spent with him, but I do hate the pounds I’ve gained! I suppose in the end, looking at the BIG picture it’s a small price to pay, but the vain me isn’t happy about those 12 pounds, and not looking good in my clothes.
We’ll soldier on together then. You take your break, and I’ll figure out how to work more exercise in…which I hate, or fewer calories in which is more doable since I am a slug.
I’ll miss you while you’re gone.

    • Hi Deborah, I wish we lived closer too! 😍 I used to be more active and enjoyed being outside. Health problems have gotten in my way but I am slowly trying to get back in shape. I understand about clothes not fitting well… sigh! 😔
I actually took my blogging break a week ago so I am back again. I did get a little cleaning done, but there is always more to do! 😉
I think it is wonderful that you have your grandson to enjoy. I imagine this time will go quickly. ❤️ And now you have a new grandchild to look forward to – so excited for you! 👶
