Happy New Year Friends!!
Have YOU put on a your creative thinking cap(s) for 2019?
I purchased this art book a few years ago…
It is just the daily inspiration I need in the new year!
I made a book-marker for it… You can see I have a square as part of my design (see yesterday’s post).
What inspiration will YOU use in your creativity in the new year? I hope you share it with me!
Cheers to new creative discoveries! 🙂
Looks like lots of fun ahead and, I love the bookmark!

Your drawing is fantastic Jill and your art book looks great too!
I have a calendar for 2019 with a daily art work and explanations on the backside! I love to discuss the images with my husband during breakfast.
On my reading list I have “Life, paint and passion” by Michele Cassou and Stewart Cubley. I read about this book on Lari Washburn’s page. Her work intrigued me and I would love to become a more spontaneous artist too. At the same time I would learn more about abstract art! So Jane Davies and her book about the elements of visual language “Abstract Painting” comes very handy.
Otherwise I want to focus mostly on collage. I have a few books on it, love it, but haven’t done much so far! Maybe Carla’s new class will help to push me in this direction!
P.S.: Nice bookmark! I often make bookmarks too! My husband owns lots of them: sewn, painted, crocheted……

Hi Suzanne! Your calendar sounds like a great way to get inspired! 😃 I haven’t heard of your first book you mentioned, I will have to look it up. I love Jane Davies art! ❤️ I am excited about Carla Sonheim’s collage class too!! Collage is one of my favorite art mediums… probably because there are no rules! 😄 I have lots of Bookmarkers too and books!! I told myself that this year I will enjoy the books I have more! 💕 Thanks for sharing your inspiration for creativity with me! 🎊 Cheers!

What a great way to start the new year Jill! I love your bookmark! I have enjoyed the Doodlewash challenges and will be doing that again for January, trying to finish 1 drawing or sketch a day…plus I want to paint more in my studio, I want to do a large painting for my son of his favorite fishing/boating things for his Feb birthday, so I’m hoping to get that going soon. Happy New Year!

Hi Jenna, the Doodlewash challenge is a fantastic way to be inspired! I will have to check out some of Charlie’s prompts for January. 😃 I’m taking a couple of year-long online art classes… one is completely out of my comfort zone. More on that later! ☺️ I like your ideas of painting more and doing a large painting. I hope to do more painting too! 🎨💕 Cheers! 🎊
