The Speedball Bird

Sharon Mann at MakeArtMagicHappens and I recently exchanged hand-painted collage papers.  It was so fun to get Sharon’s delightful, creative papers in the mail! 🙂

We thought it would be fun to share the papers we received from each other today AND create a wacky, weird bird with our new papers!

Below is my bird as it developed next to Sharon’s gorgeous papers…

I added pencil shading to give my bird dimension.  I love the bright colors Sharon used in her papers here:

Sharon creates in a wonderful variety of shapes, patterns and playfulness in her papers (can you find the bird?!)

Adding the final touches, can you find the 3 pen nibs I collaged to the bird’s feathers?

Sharon makes her “pen and ink” drawings sing like the color collage in the middle:

    So much fabulous fun here Jill! You and Sharon have outdone yourselves for Wacky Weird Bird Wednesday this week, and I love how you shared your paper creations for collages! Isn’t it special how much inspiration we get from each other!!! I love that you got together and created this project, and the results are magical! The pen nibs are so hilarious and so you Jill!
