A Square-A-Day Project for June

I am still enjoying my square-a-day project, can you believe it has been 6 months?

I gave myself a theme for June. Can you guess what it is? Of course, many of you already know from my sneak peak earlier in the month.

I thought it was interesting how the 4th vertical row shares a similar color value when I lined them up yesterday.

What doodles and patterns stand out for you? I hope you share them with me!

Cheers! šŸ™‚

  1. I really like this. Another blog I follow https://justsketches.wordpress.com/author/azorch/ recently did a page of square watercolor landscapes. There is something so visually appealing about seeing them all together. Today is the first, perhaps I’ll give it a go.

    • Hi Beverly, thank you for sharing this blog with me!! I love how they did their landscape squares! šŸ˜ƒ I did something similar in an online class. I found it a great exercise for painting landscapes. I hope you do give it a try! šŸŽØšŸ‘

  2. It’s fun to see them all together in a group and the majority of them are either lines or circles? Love all the pattern variations and colors! World Watercolor month starts today and I’m going to do a collage of mine each week and at the end of the month, you inspired me!

  3. I love all of the patterns Jill, I think I would love a blouse made with fabric just like this. It is difficult to pick a favorite. Happy Day!

  4. For some reason, I am drawn to the blocks with intersecting lines. I enjoy the energy released. My favorite is June 3rd.

  9. That’s an interesting and inspired project, Jill, I like it. Enjoyed all the patterns and colors, I think the one that grabbed me the most was the fourth vertical line, second from L. Reminded me of laying in the grass.
