I have been preparing for a total hip replacement surgery on my right hip in less than 2 weeks…
Making extra meals for the freezer and creating easy recipes for my hubby. I am trying to tidy up the house too. 😉
It feels like a waiting game so in order to relax I have been doing more doodling:
I started each one with Copic Markers:
Adding black Micron pen on top:
It has been fun experimenting with color and patterns. I will make copies and use these patterns in my collages.
What do YOU do to pass time when you are waiting?
Cheers! 🙂
P.S. I will be taking a short blogging break and posting only on Instagram for awhile. You can find me at art_jill_kuhn on Instagram.
Take care. I’m sure it’ll go well and you will recover quickly.

Jill I wish you well with your hip replacement, you will feel like a new woman. I have got a mindfulness colouring book which I often use when filling in time. I had a total hip replacement in August 2004…all good since then.

Hi Patty, I like how you doodle over your watercolors. It was fun on the second one (red background) to create different floral designs on top and not follow the pattern I did in markers. It got a little busy but I still like how it turned out. 💖 I appreciate your prayers, thank you my friend! 🌼💕

These are delightful, so full of motion and color! For myself, I like to knit while waiting. But right now, I’m waiting for my car to be serviced, and I’m blogging! That’s fun too.
Best wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.

Usually I check my mail, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. If time allows I will watch art lessons on YouTube. Now it is responding to you and wishing you a successful operation and a speedy recovery. I had my knee done 6 years ago, the best thing I ever did, they do say that hips are better than knees, so you will be up and dancing in no time 🤗🥰

So many of my friends have had hip replacements. It seems to be a very common procedure these days and they get you out of bed very quickly. Good luck.

Hi Carol, it does seem more common as we age and arthritis affects our joints. I look forward to walking without pain again! Cheers! 🙌
