Santa Claws…

The gifts are all wrapped

And under the tree,

We’re hoping Santa Claws

Let’s each of them be…

The twitch of his tail

And gleam in his eyes,

Means he’s been in the catnip,

This is no surprise!

His message to you,

This Christmas Eve night…

Never leave a catniped “Claws”

Out of your sight!

Meowy Christmas my friends!

May your day be filled with happy surprises!

Cheers! 🙂

A Tintinnabulum

Today’s weird bird has a ring to it…

Tintinnabulum – (N) a small, tinkling bell or set of bells playing in succession.

This bird gives new meaning to a “wingding!” Lol!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

Pie Birds

‘Tis the season for…

PIE!!

These three Pie Birds are a slice of happiness, don’t you agree?!

What is YOUR favorite kind of pie?

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

A “Bug” In My Bonnet

I enjoyed my blogging break for the last two weeks… Although I couldn’t stay away from reading so many of your creative blogs! 😃

I am looking forward to a new month… December is here! And Christmas is just around the corner… Hoorah!

Someone put a “bug” in my bonnet in the last couple of weeks and I have been drawing these bugs from my imagination:

I started with their imaginary “hats” from my Gelli-printed papers or copies of my own artwork.

I drew my imaginary bug in pencil before adding permanent pen.

There is something wonderful about creating from your imagination. It is so freeing!

Lastly, I added color pencils to give these bugs a little pizzazz…

Which bug(s) do you like?

Cheers! 🙂

A Weird Bug?

I interrupt this blogging break…

To show you this strange bug that appeared in my art journal:

Wednesday’s can be about weird birds…

And weird bugs!

One never knows what creative bug will land in my sketchbook next…

Happy Weird “Bug” Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

A Tropical Bird

It feels like winter has arrived in the Pacific Northwest…

So this tropical bird showed up for today’s weird bird:

It was so cold outside that my cat hesitated, not once, but 3-4 times to go outside! Brrr!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

P.S. Speaking of tropical, I have decided to take a short blogging “vacation” until the end of November. You will find me snuggling with my cat to stay warm!

Good Luck

A package may be landing on your doorstep soon…

Since Christmas is just around the corner!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

A FUNgus Weird Bird?

I have been drawing mushrooms and creating them as imaginary characters…

The mushrooms are based on REAL images… But I changed some of the names!

Yesterday, I mixed up my bird shapes from a previous post: A Trendy Bird? with a copy of my mushroom character parts:

I arranged the parts to create a weird bird. This one made me laugh!

So I created my finished bird with a mixture of drawing and gelli-prints:

The “morel” of the story is…

Som(e) brero mushrooms can make a FUNgus weird bird!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

Leaves Falling

I was out in my yard yesterday and noticed the birds leaves falling

After all, it is FALL!

Several birds were in a tree and it got me thinking about my weird birds.

There is such a variety of leaf shapes much like birds!

Perhaps there is a leaf bird? Have you seen any lately?!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

A Trendy Bird?

Today’s weird bird is shaping up to be…

HIP as in hippo:

And ROCKIN’ as a Robin:

Does this make it a trendy bird? (Combining hippo and bird shapes)

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

P.S. Next week I will continue with some “chic” birds!
