A Bibliopole Bird

Today’s weird bird is collaged with old books.

So I thought a fitting title is a Bibliopole bird:

The dictionary definition for Bibliopole (bib-lee-uh-pohl) – a bookseller, especially a dealer in rare or used books.

I enjoy reading during summer…

Have you read any good books lately?

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

Old Geyser

Today’s weird bird is sometimes confused with an old Geezer bird…

But this one is definitely an Old Geyser!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

A Quilted Quince

High winds today where I live…

A good day to stay bundled up in a warm quilt!

These two words, quilt and quince were next to each other in my children’s dictionary. I thought they sounded like a good weird bird!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Stay warm! 🙂

This Spud’s for you!

I haven’t posted in a little while on my blog…

I hope you are all well!

It has been raining A LOT where I live in the Pacific Northwest which makes me feel like a couch potato

It was my inspiration for today’s weird bird:

May it give you a smile and bring you a little sunshine on a cloudy day!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

Art Journal Prompts – Part 2

I wanted to show you the page in my art journal that I completed from Monday’s post:

Below is the photo from Monday of my unfinished page Art Journal Prompts:

I enjoyed a trip down “memory lane” and found this photo of me ice skating with my dad when I was almost 5 years old. (Notice the old cars in the background!)

I encourage you to create your own art journal prompts! I hope you share with me what you do!

Cheers! 🙂

Good Luck

A package may be landing on your doorstep soon…

Since Christmas is just around the corner!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

A Beacon

Today’s weird bird has a lighthouse beak that is a beacon for shore birds…

I hope this patchwork of imagination gives you a smile that lights your face!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!!!

Cheers! 🙂

A Typewriter Bird

Today’s weird bird is a little off key…

A Typewriter bird is rarely seen anymore, only during extreme “white outs” does this bird return.

Do you remember this shifty bird?

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

A Swinging Birdy

This isn’t a “golfing” birdy…

But “yew” still might find it between two trees in the summertime!

A Swinging Birdy

Afterall, if you are feeling taxus…

You may need to relaxus… like this Hammock Bird!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

P.S. I will be taking a short blogging break until the end of June to catch up on some art projects and perhaps spend a little time in the hammock lawn chair… 😉

Short And Stout

Today, I have two squabby (short and stout) weird birds…

Who seem to be having a squabble (petty quarrel) under the rhubarb.

My rhubarb plant is going to seed…  But I think it is kind of beautiful!

Did you know that rhubarb is “slang” for quarrel or squabble?

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

P.S. As I am willing to risk more and put my art out into the world, I am also more at risk for other people to criticize my art.  How do you handle criticism in your art making or life?  I hope you share your wisdom with me!  Thanks!
