Lazy Susan

Susan always served the best appetizers for her feather friends…

She would sit down with a plate on her belly and slowly spin the plate around so everyone could sample the seeds…

This is why she was nicknamed, Lazy Susan.

One never knows what will inspire a silly weird bird!

I drew this pattern with Copic markers yesterday evening:

Earlier in the day, I painted these papers:

It was to create this project:

I hope you let your imagination soar!

Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!

Cheers! 🙂

P.S. I’m posting a little late today… feeling kind of lazy I guess! 😉

A Coat of Many Colors

I was inspired by a beautiful photo of a sunrise that Debi Riley took to start my collage – be sure to check out Debi’s blog at:  http://debiriley.com/2016/01/21/wild-morning-sky/

Debi is a very talented watercolor artist!  She also has some excellent painting tips on her blog.

The cloud shapes in her photo reminded me a little of cotton candy.  So I started cutting out circles from my painted papers in blues, purples, pinks, oranges, reds and a touch of light blue and green.  Here is my result:

The size is 9 x 12 inches.  As I was pasting my circles to my paper with a glue stick, I listened to the album, “Somewhere” by Eva Cassidy.

One of my favorite songs on that album is “A Coat of Many Colors.”  I like Dolly Parton singing it too but Eva is my favorite!

Enjoy your day!
