I saw some cute paper napkins with lemons at the grocery store yesterday…
It was my inspiration for today’s weird bird:
Squeeze the day!
Something silly to brighten your day!
Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!
Cheers! đ

In the United States, we spring forward on March 14 which means we get to set our clocks ahead an hour, gaining more daylight. Hoorah!
In preparation, this weird bird was trying on several Spring outfits in a very lighthearted way…
She is even wearing eyeglasses like mine! Lol!
The Spring bouquet is from my sweet husband for my birthday last week.
The sun is shining and we are having Spring like weather this week in the Pacific Northwest. Time to celebrate!
Happy Spring and Weird Bird Wednesday!
Cheers! đ
This weird bird flew out of my imagination!
I started with an eyes closed drawing and discovered what looked to me like a moose! So I added a little collage:
A blue Moose Goose is on the loose!
I hope this silly bird gives you a smile today!
Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!
Cheers! đ
I haven’t forgotten today’s weird bird…
It is A Thingamabob and A Thingamajig!
Now where did I put my car keys…
Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!
May it be a memorable day for you!
Cheers! đ

Yesterday, it was unusually cold in the Pacific Northwest where I live…19 degrees Fahrenheit! Brrr!
It inspired me to create this silly weird bird drawing in my sketchbook:
I added color with Tombow and Copic markers:
Whoa! Who turned up the freezer? I sure wish Mother Nature would turn up the thermostat!
Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!
Cheers! đ

A French Baguette bird wearing a beret…
Flew a great distance to meet his “Everything” Bagel bird wearing barrettes:
Do you think it was love at first bite for these two bread birds?
No “knead” to thank me for these weird birds… I just hope they give you a smile today!
Happy Weird Bird Wednesday!
Cheers! đ
P.S. Did you know that the word, beret is often confused with the word, barrette?

I needed a gift for a âwhite elephant gift exchange.â Â Iâm not quite sure where this terminology came from as it has nothing to do with elephants! đ
To me, it means to re-gift something I received and donât need or perhaps, give something âcreative.â
I decided on a little silly fun this year and created this one-of-a-kind gift!
A âCarolerâ in a former life that I purchased at a thrift store years ago, I made him into a quirky guy that loves the lake!
It was super fun to create a poem to go with him… I will get to that later in this post.
This silly guy actually moves – his head slowly turns in circles and his right arm moves up and down when he is plugged in to an outlet. Â A little weird, I must say!
I started by giving him an old cup for a hat and taped a bird on top. Â The bird house came next. Â On the back, I added this âkeyâ message (from a candy wrapper):
He needed a beach towel, so I cut-up an old wash cloth and sewed the outside edges. I used a paper napkin to represent âhappy hourâ where friends gather to share an appetizer and a drink as you can see in my first photo.
Below, I created a fishing pole from an old paint brush and beads – including a bead for a fish:
He needed a little summer outfit so I sewed some fabric to give him some pizzazz and cover up that ugly green outfit he was wearing – who says men canât wear skirts!! Hahaha!
I finished him, by adding a Christmas ornament of a chair, a rubber stamp image of an image in the woods and writing a message on the base:
Below is one of the stanzas I wrote for my poem to the song, âOver The River And Through The Woods.â
Over the river and through the woods
We look forward to each yearâŚ
The memories we make
At this beautiful lake
Are the treasures we hold dear.
I look forward to seeing who receives my creative surprise… I encourage you to “think outside the box” when you give a gift!
Cheers! đ
