I recently posted about Octopuses, here.
I have been feeling a little under the weather – which often happens to me when the weather gets cooler this time of year in the Pacific Northwest – so I started looking at some past photos of my flowers:
As you can see, I love mixing colors in flower pots as well as with paint:
It got me thinking about what flowers would be in an octopus’s garden:
I enjoy creating patterns – they are very calming and meditative for me.
I also find that flowers bring me joy much like this quote from Lady Bird Johnson, “Where flowers bloom, so does hope.”
What brings you peace when you are not feeling yourself?
Wishing you a day of sunshine and flowers! 🙂
Sorry to hear you don’t feel well….I was in bed with a stomach virus last week and I hate being ill! You definitely have a green thumb, your flowers are gorgeous! And love love love your octopus art…the tentacles are perfect!

That octopus is very cheery – and lovely photos. Hope today you are feeling more cheerful, too. I want to try to do a bird for Laura’s challenge tomorrow. How about you?

Feel better Jill and thank you for sharing your garden. A good green scene for my desert eyes.

Thank you Sharon and I’m glad you enjoyed my flowers! Took lots of naps this weekend. Nothing like a rainy weekend to force me to slow down and appreciate the beauty around me. 😊

I really don’t know what brings me peace when I’m not well…I suppose it depends on what kind of not well. If physical, I think a nap does it. If emotional, then probably a good dessert. 🙂
You sure do have a way with garden “paints”! Love your psychedelic octopus!

Beautiful, creative artwork, as usual! I’m sorry you’re not feeling so well, Jill. I paint abstracts when I’m feeling off. I also read, and if I were you, I’d have a purring cat on my lap to boot! Nothing much that a good book and a purring cat can’t fix. What else……hm sometimes sewing too. But if you’re really under the weather, grab a good book. That’d be my prescription. Have you tried the Father Tim series by Jan Karon? I think you’d really enjoy it. I hope you’re better soon!

Really great ideas, Laura! Thank you! 😊 I took lots of naps, a long walk outside with my hubby and enjoyed looking at some of my art books. Feeling much better. A rainy weekend at the lake helped me get some much needed rest. 😊 Enjoy your day! 💚🎨💛🐦

Only you would come up with an octopus flower garden design Jilly! Hope you feel better soon! Rest and relax. That’s what I do. Maybe some silly old movies and hot tea with honey snuggled with a soft blanket. It is still very hot here in Mars. 90 and sunny today. Makes me want to stay in the A/C! Enjoy not laboring today!
