It was a lazy afternoon at the lake. Harold was floating on an inner tube. (You do remember Harold, don’t you?)
Harold was trying to squeeze in a few more minutes daydreaming before summer ended:
Soon school would be starting for his children and he would no longer have idle time.
It was such a relaxing day that a Lackadaisical Duck happened to paddle by:
A rare sighting to see such a slow-moving duck! And yawning too! (I wasn’t aware that ducks yawned…lol!)
Happy Weird Bird Wednesday! Wishing you a lackadaisical day, friends! 🙂
P.S. I have decided to change Weird Bird Wednesday to Whimsical Wednesday. You may still see a weird bird or two but I wanted to have more options! Cheers!
I always enjoy your whimsys! (K)

Me too, Jodi! 😃 I like how Harold turned out as well. It helped me to start with a preliminary sketch first. 🎨🌟 Happy Wednesday!! 🐪

The ripples of water around the inner tube are what REALLY caught my eye for some reason 🙂 Well well done

Thanks! I looked at some images online to get an idea how to suggest water. 😄

I admire artists before the internet for reference – eh? 🙂 I don’t know how I’d do without it!

When did you start your Weird Bird Wednesday? I feel like I’m out of touch. Are other people creating weird birds on Wednesdays or is this only your thing? I love Harold.

Hi Carol! If you click on “Harold” that I highlighted in my first paragraph, it explains my Weird Bird Wednesday idea. I created it as a challenge for myself. 😊 I love creating birds of my imagination with words! 😉💕🎨 Happy you like Harold! ❤️

Thanks Charlie!! 😊 I’m working on a magazine article first. It is much easier to create my weird birds than explain my process! 😉🎨 Happy you like them! 😍💕
